To solve this, Spectral DarkRP has a minimal set of addons that you need to download upon joining, allowing for new players to experience relatively few errors due to missing addons whilst massively reducing the time taken to join the server. If you don't have any of the addons already and aren't on a super-fast internet connection it can sometimes take upwards of 15 minutes to join a server, a number we found unacceptably high. From our experience playing DarkRP, this meant we had one main problem to solve.Ī large number of DarkRP servers around today have incredibly long load times due to their large amount of content and the fact that they require you to download all of this before joining the server.
